HORIZON-EDCTP3 — Digital Innovation and AI in Healthcare (Sub-Saharan Africa)

Overview
This EDCTP3/Horizon Europe call invites international research consortia to develop projects applying digital technologies, data systems, and artificial intelligence to strengthen clinical research capacity, improve healthcare delivery, and support innovative health solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Priority themes include development and integration of electronic health records, AI/ML-powered diagnostic and surveillance tools, digital health research infrastructure, and training in data science for health. Partnerships must involve African countries, EU Member States, and Horizon Europe-associated countries.
Eligibility
African higher education institutions and research organisations can participate as consortium partners. UNIMA is eligible. At least one EU Member State or Horizon Europe-associated country institution must be in the consortium.

What is funded
Funded costs: Personnel costs, equipment, subcontracting, travel, indirect costs (25% flat rate on eligible direct costs)
