Overview
The Neville Shulman Challenge Award from the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) supports a challenging research project or expedition that advances understanding of the planet, its cultures, peoples and environments, while promoting personal development through intellectual or physical challenge.
Eligibility
Open to individuals and groups worldwide (Malawi eligible). Projects must be demonstrably challenging and have both local and global interest. Proposals directly relating to PhD or MSc research are NOT accepted.
What is funded
A challenging geographical research project or expedition (GBP 10,000), with clear methods of data collection and wide dissemination.
What is not funded
Projects directly relating to PhD or MSc degree research.
