African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank)

Afreximbank is a pan-African multilateral financial institution, established in 1993 and headquartered in Cairo, that finances and promotes African trade. Alongside its banking work it runs research competitions and prizes on trade, finance and development. Its postgraduate research competition is open to students at African universities, including in Malawi.

Invites original postgraduate research (Master’s or PhD) on African trade, finance, regional integration, and sustainable development. Papers of 3,000–5,000 words are submitted and judged by an independent jury. Top papers are presented to Afreximbank leadership and published as policy briefs.
