Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking

Global Health EDCTP3 is a partnership between the European Union and African and European countries that funds research on infectious diseases affecting sub-Saharan Africa. It supports clinical research, trials and capacity building delivered by international consortia. Sub-Saharan African institutions, including Malawi’s, are central partners.

Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking

This EDCTP3/Horizon Europe call invites international research consortia to develop projects applying digital technologies, data systems, and artificial intelligence to strengthen clinical research capacity, improve healthcare delivery, and support innovative health solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Priority themes include development and integration of electronic health records, AI/ML-powered diagnostic and surveillance tools, digital health research infrastructure, and training in data science for health. Partnerships must involve African countries, EU Member States, and Horizon Europe-associated countries.
