Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) · Switzerland (Geneva)
MMV invites proposals from African scientists in four priority areas: (1) medicinal chemistry, novel molecules with confirmed antimalarial activity (EC50 < 10 µM) and a credible optimisation plan, especially compounds suitable for chemoprevention; (2) assay development and screening to support discovery or development of novel antimalarials; (3) computer-aided drug discovery using cheminformatic or bioinformatic approaches; (4) large molecules, biologics or oligonucleotides for malaria treatment or chemoprevention. Proposals must use the specified template.
This EDCTP3/Horizon Europe call invites international research consortia to develop projects applying digital technologies, data systems, and artificial intelligence to strengthen clinical research capacity, improve healthcare delivery, and support innovative health solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Priority themes include development and integration of electronic health records, AI/ML-powered diagnostic and surveillance tools, digital health research infrastructure, and training in data science for health. Partnerships must involve African countries, EU Member States, and Horizon Europe-associated countries.
Enables a UK institution to invite an eminent overseas academic to enrich the skills of researchers there. A UNIMA professor would be hosted by a UK university, which submits the application.
