MMV invites proposals from African scientists in four priority areas: (1) medicinal chemistry, novel molecules with confirmed antimalarial activity (EC50 < 10 µM) and a credible optimisation plan, especially compounds suitable for chemoprevention; (2) assay development and screening to support discovery or development of novel antimalarials; (3) computer-aided drug discovery using cheminformatic or bioinformatic approaches; (4) large molecules, biologics or oligonucleotides for malaria treatment or chemoprevention. Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking
This EDCTP3/Horizon Europe call invites international research consortia to develop projects applying digital technologies, data systems, and artificial intelligence to strengthen clinical research capacity, improve healthcare delivery, and support innovative health solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. Priority themes include development and integration of electronic health records, AI/ML-powered diagnostic and surveillance tools, digital health research infrastructure, and training in data science for health. Partnerships must involve African countries, EU Member States, and Horizon Europe-associated countries.

Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking
The EU’s flagship global-health partnership, targeting infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. The 2026 work programme includes calls on TB drug development, prevention/treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, HIV prevention and treatment, ethics/regulatory capacity, and digital innovation & AI in health.
